The studio's completely dark...

The real Magnificent Seven... Just wanted to say a quick thank-you to 2013. And to all you lot, obviously. This year has been a really incredible ride from start to finish. In late 2012, Lesley Manning and I wrapped production on Ghostwatch: Behind the Curtains after a very long, but enjoyable shoot. The completed film was released in March, gracing the front page of on my birthday, no less. Given its humble beginnings, the response to our film has been truly wonderful - so much so that I decided to finally finish the companion book of the same name , just in time for the 21st Anniversary. In May, we had our World Premiere at Dimension Jump , and six months later, we all gathered at BFI Southbank to catch up and attend a very rare screening of the original film in an absolutely stunning theatre. Seeing the trailer for Behind the Curtains play up on the big screen was a joy beyond words. But arguably, the biggest cherry on top of this cherry cake with cher

Greetings Ghostwatchers! This is just a quick note to say thank-you once again to everyone for making National Séance 2013 so memorable! The evening kicked off with composer Philip Appleby releasing his brand-spanking new remix of the original Ghostwatch theme , followed by our annual repeat screening, and due to popular demand, even a last-minute Q&A for Behind the Curtains , straight after. @Ghostwatch really appears to have entered the psyche of the British people, Happy anniversary everyone. Now, what I want to talk about now is this book of yours...

Greetings Ghostwatchers! You've seen the doc, now read the book! (...T-Shirts next, perhaps?) The term 'Labour of love' is often bandied about on most projects I seem to work on, these days. This piece actually took longer to make than the doc itself, as, back in the day, I wasn't even sure that we would physically be able to make a film looking back at Ghostwatch , at all - so instead, began documenting the project in paper form, just in case. It's 248 pages, it's got new interviews, it's got trivia, it's got a Foreword by Stephen Volk, it features an extensive production diary for the doc, it includes the complete sequel story 31/10 , it's in tasteful black and white, and it contains material which some readers may find to be interesting. It is also available to purchase right now for the princely sum of £9.99 (+ p&p). So, pick up a copy on Lulu today before Pipes beats you to it.

We'll be here with updates right through the... year?

Update time! And just as we were getting used to seeing "2013" on our calendars, another year has already, all but passed us by. From the release of the doc all the way back in March, though to... well, today, we've been fortunate enough to have some great reviews, wonderful comments and precisely zero hauntings, so thumbs-up, all round. So... what's next? Well, National Séance 2013 will kick off on October 31st. Details here and here , as usual. (we all know the drill by now, right?) There's recently been quite a bit of talk regarding the doc being made available to purchase and view online, sometime soonish. One particular avenue that our film is currently set to be making an appearance in (from early December) is at BFI Mediatheques nationwide, as part of the new Haunted collection, and the wider Gothic season, possibly alongside Ghostwatch itself and plenty of other goodies. Yes, you read that right, Ghostwatch: Behind the Curtains is about to be a

A bit too quiet...

Happy 2013, Ghostwatchers! Wait, it's March, already?! Well, to be fair, we have been rather busy of late... Yes, over the past few months, molten picture and sound has been continually poured into cast-iron disc stampers, before being lovingly encased into hermetically-sealed pockets of retrospective goodness. You know what that means... Ghostwatch: Behind the Curtains is finally here. So, how/what/who/where/when can you pick up a copy? Simply head on over to to find out more info. In terms of content, the disc contains the teaser trailer and the full 90-minute main feature, itself. All major news/updates regarding release will be logged on the @Ghostwatch Twitter account, as usual. Interestingly, it seems that no-one caught the sneak peek of the cover published back in 2012... even with a sneaky clue in the article title, no less(!) Also this year, more PipesCasts may be coming! Yes, the long-gestating Ghostwatch radio show will hopefu
